I don't see the issue that I am experiencing listed on your website; does that mean you don't work with it? My clinical training allows me to work with nearly all kinds of human suffering; I encourage you to call me at 404-664-0922 so we can discuss your unique circumstances.
Isn't therapy for people who are *really* suffering with mental illness or in some kind of crisis? I specialize in helping people improve their mental well-being regardless of their personal history or current level of distress.
Can I use my health insurance to pay for therapy? Yes; I am an in-network provider for BCBS IL. If you have other health insurance with mental health benefits, your therapy sessions may be reimbursable through your out-of-network benefits. I will provide you with an appropriate receipt for your use in filing an out-of-network claim. If you wish to contact your insurance company to determine your out-of-network benefits prior to making an appointment, the following questions may be helpful to explore:
What is your fee? My session fees currently are set at $125 for a 50-minute session.
What kind of payment do you accept? I accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash. Clients with HSA accounts often use those cards to pay for mental health services.
Do you offer video or phone-based sessions? I do indeed offer these services and am very experienced in running effective sessions via both platforms. Due to the current legislation regarding distance-based therapy, I can only offer these services to clients in Illinois. If this is of interest to you, we can discuss it in more detail and give it a try to see how it works between us.
Do you work with children? At this time, I do not work directly with children. I specialize in working with persons from late adolescence across the adult life-span, and quite frequently work with adults on issues involving their children.
Are people like me (us) welcome in your practice? Irrespective of who you love, if you're religious or not, or to which cultural/ethnic group you belong, as a mindfulness-based practitioner, I practice a stance of being curious and non-judgmental. This means, even if we're different in some way(s), we can be in this work together.

- How much of the session cost will be reimbursed if I see an out-of-network LCSW?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
- Is primary care physician approval required?
